Endometriosis

Endometriosis occurs when cells that resemble those in the uterus lining grow in other areas of the body. This condition can significantly affect your daily life, but there are various treatments available to assist with management. Endometriosis is commonly located in regions surrounding the uterus, including the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the pelvic lining. It can also occasionally impact other organs, such as the bladder and bowel. In rare cases, endometriosis may be found in areas beyond the pelvis, such as the chest. Symptoms arise when these endometriosis patches break down and bleed, but the blood cannot be expelled from the body.
