About Mr Kirana Arambage

Mr Kirana Arambage is a well-known Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Surgeon based at The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Here he works at the BSGE-accredited Endometriosis Care and Research Centre since 2012, where he contributes to providing excellent care to those suffering with complex endometriosis involving other organs and other gynaecological conditions. As a committed Council Member at BSGE Mr Arambage is predominantly aiding the innovation of laparoscopic and hysteroscopic training and chairing awards and bursaries portfolio, amending the constitution of the BSGE to promote international collaboration and surgical innovation. He is also a member of the Medical Advisory Panel for Endometriosis UK and has been an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford. Mr Arambage is a co-author for the fourth edition of the Oxford Handbook for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has also co-authored European guidelines on the management of distension media in operative hysteroscopy, a Cochrane review of the surgical treatment of endometriosis, and the RCOG consent guidelines for laparoscopic surgery. He has written book chapters and was invited to chair and present at many national and international conferences.
