About Professor Joanne Hockey
Mrs Joanne Hockey is a leading gynaecologist based in London. Mrs Hockey practices at a number of top clinics in the capital, including her NHS base, the Royal Free Hospital and on Harley Street. Mrs Hockey specialises in urogynaecology, prolapse and incontinence, and pelvic floor dysfunction, especially postnatal. Her particular interests include menopause, post-reproductive health and bladder pain. Mrs Hockey leads the undergraduate programme for medical students in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Royal Free Hospital. She set up the urodynamics unit at the Royal Free Hospital, and established the team specialising in the care of women with bladder problems, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence and birth trauma. Mrs Hockey also manages a large general gynaecology clinic caring for women with conditions ranging from menstrual problems, menopause symptoms, fibroids and ovarian cysts. She leads the undergraduate programme in Women's Health for University College London (UCL) students at the Royal Free Hospital. She is also a peer reviewer for The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Journal.
