About Ms Seema Bagtharia
Ms Seema Bagtharia is a distinguished consultant gynaecologist based in Brentwood. Her areas of expertise include heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, prolapse, recurrent miscarriage, the menopause and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She is highly skilled in minimal access (keyhole) surgery and also provides care for infertility, basic fertility investigations and treatment and dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Ms Bagtharia consults privately at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital. With over 35 years’ experience, she also practises for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and serves as the guideline lead consultant for maternity at Basildon University Hospital. Ms Bagtharia is additionally the lead divisional appraiser for maternity. Ms Bagtharia qualified from Devi Ahilya University in India in 1988. She then undertook her postgraduate training in North East Thames hospitals, before completing a clinical research fellowship in fertility. Ms Bagtharia went on to accomplish specialised training in minimal access surgery, gynaecological ultrasound scanning and infertility from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In addition to her clinical practice, Ms Bagtharia is an educational supervisor, responsible for the training and development of junior doctors. She is also an active member of several professional organisations, including the British Fertility Society and the British Menopause Society.
