About Mr Haider Jan
Mr Haider Jan is a renowned consultant gynaecologist, specialising in endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery, who sees patients in Ashtead and London. With over 15 years of experience, Mr Jan is skilled in the treatment of a variety of gynaecological problems, including fibroids and abnormal bleeding, as well as surgery, including key hole, fertility, Asherman’s and septum. Mr Jan graduated from St Georges Hospital Medical School, part of the University of London, with a bachelor of science in 2002 and a bachelor of medicine and science in 2003. He trained in numerous centres of excellence in London, known for gynaecological surgery and ultrasound. These include Royal Marsden, St George’s, King’s College Hospital and Royal Surrey. During his time in the latter, he undertook his fellowship in advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgery. In 2009, earned his membership to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Since 2013, he has held a position as a consultant gynaecologist at Epsom General Hospital, part of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals, where he is the clinical lead for gynaecology. Privately, he treats patients at Ashtead Hospital and Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital, South London. He is an expert in minimally invasive surgery and gynaecological ultrasound and is accredited by the Royal College in both fields. Mr Jan is actively involved in research, his interests include endometriosis, fertility surgery, and global health. He has published hundreds of peer-reviewed papers and for his scientific presentations, he has been awarded various national and international prizes. He also is the founder of Maternity Training International, a charity and website that is dedicated to improving the standard of maternal health globally and ensuring safer motherhood universally. He has a passion for teaching, in particular, training others on the use of innovative and advanced technologies, as well as simulation techniques. He is on the faculty of several courses, both national and international, that cover gynaecological surgery and emergency obstetrics, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the advanced life support group (ALSG), and the Minimal Access Therapy Training Unit (MATTU).
