About Dr Jennifer Byrom

Dr Jennifer Byrom is a highly skilled consultant gynaecologist with a focus on gynaecological oncology, boasting over two decades of experience. She practices at Birmingham Women’s Hospital and also provides care for private patients at The Harborne Hospital. Within Birmingham Women’s Hospital, Dr Byrom leads the clinical team for colposcopy and vulval conditions, with a particular interest in diseases related to HPV. Beyond her clinical duties, she serves as the Clinical Service Planning Lead (CSPL) for the Trust, where she plays a key role in strategic planning and service development efforts. Additionally, Dr Byrom has chaired the training and accreditation committee of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) for four years. She earned her medical degree from the University of London in 1993 and became a registered specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology with the General Medical Council in 2005.
