Non-cancerous (benign) brain tumours

A brain tumour occurs when cells in the brain multiply uncontrollably. Non-cancerous tumours, known as low-grade or benign tumours, typically grow at a slower pace and are less prone to spreading compared to cancerous tumours. Information regarding cancerous (malignant) brain tumours is available separately. The symptoms associated with a brain tumour vary based on the region of the brain that is impacted. Since non-cancerous tumours usually develop slowly, the symptoms tend to appear gradually and may progressively worsen over several months or even years.
