Dr. Celine Lakra is a consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, where she leads a multidisciplinary team in the neuro-rehabilitation unit. She is committed to delivering high-quality medical and rehabilitative care for patients recovering from acquired brain injuries, focusing on treating the whole person rather than just their medical conditions. Her areas of expertise include managing focal spasticity and addressing shoulder pain. Dr. Lakra’s training spans neuro-rehabilitation at level 1 and level 2 units, spinal cord injury recovery, and prosthetics and amputation medicine. She completed her early medical training in London, earning her primary medical degree with distinction and honors from University College London. Additionally, she holds a first-class honors BSc in the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine.
