Mr Winston Kim is a pioneering, experienced, award-winning orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, specifically robot-arm assisted hip and knee replacements. Mr Kim has, impressively performed the largest number of private robot-arm assisted hip and knee replacements in the United Kingdom, with more than 1,200 cases performed to date . Many consider robot-arm assisted joint replacements to be transformative, leading edge technology in joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. Mr Kim's surgical practice is exclusively robot-arm assisted hip, knee and partial replacement surgery. He consults at the Spire Manchester Hospital and The Circle Alexandra Hospital, Greater Manchester, and is supported by a dedicated clinical and administrative team. Mr Kim qualified from the University of Aberdeen in 1996 and completed his orthopaedic training in the north-west rotation in England in 2005, and completed fellowships in North America in 2006, including the British Orthopaedic Foundation Travelling Fellowship. He is in full-time private practice since 2017, after more than 20 years’ service in the NHS. Mr Kim performed the largest number of private robot-assisted hip and knee replacements in the United Kingdom in 2022, 2023 and 2024 with more than 1,200 robot assisted hip and knee replacements performed in total. In addition, Mr Kim has performed more than 2000 conventional hip and knee replacements.
