About Mr Sam Vollans
Mr Sam Vollans is a highly skilled consultant shoulder and elbow surgeon based in Leeds, practising at Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital. He is widely recognised for his expertise in elbow arthroscopy, elbow surgery, cubital tunnel release, and chondroplasty. His practice is focused on complex elbow conditions, including arthroplasty and cartilage reconstruction, providing advanced care to both adults and children. Mr Vollans completed his orthopaedic training in Yorkshire before undertaking further specialist training in shoulder and elbow surgery across the UK and Europe. He trained alongside three of the world’s leading elbow surgeons and was awarded the prestigious British Elbow and Shoulder Society Travelling Fellowship. He currently holds a consultant post at Leeds General Infirmary, where he manages both elective and trauma shoulder and elbow cases, including paediatric and adolescent elbow disorders.
