About Dr Rudy Sinharay
Dr Rudy Sinharay is a consultant respiratory physician who specialises in the management of a broad range of respiratory conditions. He has a particular interest in lung cancer screening, and is the lead clinician for the lung cancer service at St Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. His clinical expertise includes lung cancer, cough, asthma, COPD, pleural diseases, and breathlessness. He is highly experienced in performing advanced diagnostic procedures such as bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and various pleural interventions. He trained in respiratory and general internal medicine across several of London’s leading teaching hospitals, including St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital, and University College London Hospital. Prior to his current post, he held a consultant position at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Sinharay holds an MD(res) from Imperial College London for research undertaken at the Royal Brompton Hospital on the effects of air pollution in patients with COPD and ischaemic heart disease. He remains active in academic medicine as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. Dr Sinharay’s 20 years' experience as a doctor dedicated to patient care, combined with his academic contributions and procedural expertise, ensures comprehensive and high-quality care for his patients.
