About Dr Muhammad Mansoor Baig

Dr Muhammad Mansoor Baig is an experienced consultant haematologist based in Lancashire, practising at The Beardwood Hospital. Specialising in haemato-oncology, he has particular expertise in the management of myeloma, lymphoma, leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. He also offers comprehensive care in general haematology, including the diagnosis and treatment of anaemia, bleeding and clotting disorders, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. Alongside his private practice, Dr Baig is Consultant Haematologist and Clinical Director at the Department of Clinical Haematology at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in Blackburn. In this leadership role, he chairs the Haematology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and contributes to key committees such as VTE, Blood Transfusion and IVIG. He also leads on governance, quality improvement and audit initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and the ongoing development of services. Dr Baig is equally dedicated to education and professional development. As a GMC-recognised trainer, he fulfils both Educational and Clinical Supervisor roles and has acted as a Medical Appraiser since 2023.
