About Dr Farhan Khalid

Dr Farhan Khalid is an exceptionally regarded consultant oral, maxillofacial, facial, plastic, and head and neck surgeon with dual qualifications in medicine and dentistry. He has extensive training and experience in surgery of the face, mouth, jaws and neck, including reconstructive and facial aesthetic procedures. He currently possesses over 25 years of experience as a clinician. Dr Khalid’s career reflects a strong commitment to comprehensive surgical training, multidisciplinary practice and ongoing professional development. He pursued specialist training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery following foundational qualifications in both dentistry and medicine, a unique pathway that equips the specialty to manage complex conditions affecting the face, oral cavity, jaws and neck. His higher surgical training encompassed a wide-ranging curriculum, including trauma management, pathology, reconstructive surgery and functional rehabilitation. This breadth of experience prepared him for advanced practice across the full scope of facial, oral and head & neck surgery. He subsequently achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (FRCS OMFS) and Fellowship of the European Board of Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Head & Neck Surgery (FEBOMFS-HNS), qualifications that reflect advanced expertise in complex surgical care. In addition to his core surgical training, Dr Khalid completed advanced facial plastic surgery training accredited by the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery (EACMFS). This postgraduate programme focuses on both reconstructive and aesthetic facial surgery and includes structured academic study, hands-on cadaveric workshops and supervised clinical experience. Dr Khalid currently practices as a Consultant at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In these roles, he works closely within multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver coordinated care for patients with complex surgical needs.
