About Miss Carmel Noonan

Miss Carmel Noonan is a consultant ophthalmologist based in Shropshire and Merseyside. Her expertise lies in the treatment of cataracts and neuro-opthalmology. Miss Noonan qualified from the National University of Ireland in 1985, and undertook her medical training in Dublin. She completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA before moving to the UK to fulfil her senior registrar training in Liverpool, after which she was appointed consultant ophthalmologist in Warrington. Since 2009, she has been a consultant at Liverpool University Foundation Hospital NHS Trust, and has been a consultant at iSIGHT since 2010, where she runs a specialised service for strabismus in adults and children.
