About Mr Andreas Hinsche

Mr Andreas Hinsche is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Nuffield Health Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital, with specialist expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery, as well as general upper limb surgery and trauma. His particular interests include advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) and minimally invasive procedures involving the shoulder and elbow, as well as shoulder replacement surgery. He graduated from the Medical School in Cologne, Germany, before completing his general surgical training in the West of Scotland. He undertook his specialist training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery in Yorkshire. Mr Hinsche regularly participates in national and international meetings to share expertise with fellow specialists, and is a frequent attendee at the annual ‘Teach the Teachers’ Advanced Elbow Skills Course at the Mayo Clinic, USA. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow, the British Trauma Society, and the Anglo-German Medical Society.
