About Mr Aires Lobo

Mr Aires Lobo is a leading consultant ophthalmic surgeon who practises in Bedford, North London and Central London. With a medical career spanning more than 20 years, he has gained highly skilled and renowned expertise in his field. Among his numerous areas of expertise are cataract surgery, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, laser retinopexy, blepharitis, dry eye and watering eye. Furthermore, Mr Lobo ensures he uses the most up-to-date techniques and medications to provide the utmost quality ofpatient care. He also dedicates his career to research with his research interests being targeted towards medical retina, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. In 2011, he was nominated for the Macular Disease Society's annual Clinical Services of the Year Award, which recognises his outstanding efforts in helping to improve the quality of life in patients with macular disease. Furthermore, as Mr Lobo continues to even further hone his skills, he also participates in the teaching of peers and auxiliary medical staff as well as GPs.
