About Miss Zahra Ashena
Miss Zahra Ashena is a highly skilled consultant ophthalmic surgeon with a prominent presence in both London and Essex. She holds expertise in a wide range of eye conditions, offering expertise in cataracts, premium intraocular lenses, dry eyes, pterygium, corneal diseases, and keratoconus. Miss Ashena holds an MD from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and a BSc in Holistic Medicine from the University of Westminster. She completed her ophthalmology training in Severn and KSS deaneries, following which she continued with two additional years of training, focusing on corneal diseases and complex cataract surgeries in Sussex eye Hospital, Brighton. With over 2,300 successfully performed cataract surgeries, including lens-based procedures addressing astigmatism and presbyopia, Miss Ashena has demonstrated a remarkable surgical proficiency. Her contributions extend beyond clinical practice, as she actively engages in teaching and research. She currently serves as a teacher, trainer, and supervisor for North East London Ophthalmic Trainees, imparting her knowledge to the next generation of eye care professionals.
