About Mr William Jackson
Mr William Jackson is a distinguished consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Oxford. His areas of expertise lie in knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, partial replacement, ligament reconstruction, anterior cruciate repair and revision knee surgery. Mr Jackson works exclusively as a knee surgeon and is internationally recognised as a leader within the field of knee surgery. He is part of the renowned Oxford Knee Group. Mr Jackson completed his orthopaedic training in Oxford and later undertook 12 months of specialist fellowship training in knee surgery in 2007. It took place at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre under the tutelage of Prof Leo Pinczewski - a pioneer in modern ligament reconstruction surgery. In addition to his areas of expertise, Mr Jackson has a particular interest in sports knee injuries and arthroscopic ligament reconstructions. He also treats patients with knee arthritis. Furthermore, he has a research interest in improving ways of training future knee surgeons using virtual reality and surgical simulators. He is currently involved in developing modern technology in knee surgery, including the use of 3D printing technology and robotics.
