About Mr Will Anderson

Mr Will Anderson is a consultant plastic surgeon in Edinburgh with extensive experience in aesthetic, reconstructive and microsurgical plastic surgery. His areas of expertise include chin surgery (mentoplasty), neck liposuction and facial fat transfer, alongside upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty and brow lift. He privately practises as a consultant plastic surgeon at Waterfront Private Hospital and Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital, while his NHS bases are NHS Lothian and NHS Fife. His NHS practice covers plastic and reconstructive surgery for both adults and children, and he is frequently involved in complex reconstructive cases referred from other surgical specialties. He is a fully trained microvascular surgeon and provides regional genitoperineal reconstruction services. His reconstructive expertise includes complex breast reconstruction following mastectomy using patients’ own tissue. He is also the clinical lead for the Laser Department at St John’s Hospital, reflecting his experience in laser treatments alongside surgical care. Mr Anderson has particular subspecialist interests in full and short-scar facelifts, ear correction for prominent ears, post-weight loss body contouring, breast implant health checks and combined breast uplift with implants. He also provides assessment and treatment for skin lesions, including mole checks and removal, sebaceous cysts, seborrheic keratoses, skin cancer and malignant melanoma. Mr Anderson graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1992 and later completed an MSc at University College London. His plastic surgery training was primarily undertaken in Scotland and included international experience at a leading microsurgical centre in Taiwan and at Dallas Children’s Hospital. He completed fully accredited UK plastic surgery training in 2008, when he was appointed as an NHS consultant in Edinburgh. He is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Medical Laser Association.
