About Mr Vinod Gangwani

Mr Vinod Gangwani is a highly skilled consultant ophthalmologist with a special interest in modern, tailored cataract surgery, refractive lens procedures, glaucoma, and complex corneal and ocular surface conditions. He currently serves as a consultant eye surgeon at Ashford & St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust, where he also leads as the clinical head for cataract micro-surgery. Mr Gangwani completed a prestigious cataract surgery fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, gaining in-depth expertise in managing complex cataract cases and using advanced intraocular lenses, including multifocal, trifocal, and toric implants. He further enhanced his specialization through a distinguished fellowship in cornea and external eye disease at both Moorfields Eye Hospital and King’s College Hospital in London. Before relocating to Surrey, he held a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon position at King’s College Hospital for 15 months. He now offers tertiary-level care for both routine and complex corneal and cataract conditions. Mr Gangwani has presented extensively at international conferences and has published in several leading peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the British Journal of Ophthalmology. His key areas of clinical interest include astigmatism management during cataract surgery, lamellar corneal transplantation, and customized cataract surgery utilising premium lens implants.
