About Mr Tony McGilligan

Mr Tony McGilligan is an experienced consultant ENT surgeon, based in Brighton and Sussex. From his private clinics, he provides all aspects of ENT treatment for adults and paediatric patients, with a special interest in sinus and nasal surgery. Mr Tony McGilligan initially trained in London, before completing a research fellowship at Boston MIT and at New England Medical Centre, where he developed techniques to detect and treat cancer with lasers. During his career in London, he has worked at a number of prestigious hospitals such as The Royal Marsden Hospital, and North Thames Teaching Hospitals including St Mary's Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, Barts, The Royal National Throat, Nose, and Ear Hospital, before being appointed at Royal Sussex County Hospital in 2000. Alongside his clinical practice, Mr McGilligan devotes time to teaching and training. He also holds roles as a lecturer, having been invited to lecture in many cities across the world, and examiner for a number of academic organisations. He has also been involved in numerous research projects and has been published multiple times in peer-reviewed medical journals. Additionally, he is the recipient of various awards from esteemed medical societies and research bodies.
