About Mr Sudeendra Doddi
Mr Sudeendra Doddi is a leading consultant general surgeon who specialises in endocrine and breast surgery, including thyroid, parathyroid, breast cancer and oncoplastic breast surgery using complex nerve monitoring. In addition to hernias, he is also practiced in the treatment and management of lipomas. Mr Doddi currently sees patients at Chelsfield Park Hospital and Orpington Hospital in Orpington, at The Sloane Hospital in Beckenham as well as The Blackheath Hospital in London. Mr Doddi qualified from JIPMER, Pondicherry University in 1991 and completed his basic surgical training in South Africa and Australia before relocating to the UK. He then undertook his higher surgical training at King’s College London and was later awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) in 2006, becoming a fellow of the RCS in 2012. Following this, Mr Doddi went on to obtain a Masters in Surgical Technology from the University of Kent, studying under the mentorship of esteemed Professor Tom Bates, before going on to receive a Certificate of Equivalence of Specialist Registration in 2018. With a firm belief in patient centric surgery, Mr Doddi works with a highly experienced team of consultant anaesthetists, radiologists and pathologists to offer precise diagnosis and surgical outcomes with low complication rates. Besides endocrine and breast surgery, Mr Doddi is also passionate about teaching and research and is an honorary senior clinical lecturer, clinical and educational supervisor, GMC-accredited national trainer and a volunteer faculty for MRCS and FRCS courses. Mr Doddi regularly submits his results for screen-detected breast cancer to the national hub and has additionally published numerous academic works on peer reviewed journals.
