About Dr Shanmuga Natarajan

Dr Shanmuga Natarajan is a consultant adult psychiatrist with a special interest in Adult ADHD. He brings many years of experience in managing ADHD in adults and currently serves as the clinical lead for Adult ADHD services for Modality across Cheshire & Merseyside and Lancashire & South Cumbria. He completed his psychiatric training with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr Natarajan is listed on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry and has extensive experience in managing acute and enduring mental health disorders. Before focusing on Adult ADHD, he supported patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions. His expertise has played a key role in the development of care pathways within primary care to meet increasing demand in this area. Over the years, Dr Natarajan has mentored and trained a variety of healthcare professionals. He remains actively involved in educating General Practitioners and Mental Health professionals, helping to build knowledge and confidence in the management of Adult ADHD and related mental health conditions.
