About Mr Sam Jain

Mr Sam Jain is a distinguished consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Leeds. His areas of expertise include hip replacement, knee replacement and revision hip replacement. He is also highly proficient in robotic-assisted hip replacement using the Stryker MAKO system and has special interest in enhanced rehabilitation. Notably, Mr Jain successfully introduced a day surgery pathway for hip and knee replacement patients in Leeds. Mr Jain consults privately at Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital. He also practises for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and serves as an executive committee member of the British Hip Society. Mr Jain is additionally a representative for the National Joint Registry. Mr Jain qualified from the University of Leeds in 2005 and later achieved an MSc from the University of Warwick. He holds his FRCS (Tr&Orth) qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons since 2015 and was also awarded a PhD at the University of Leeds in 2024. Mr Jain trained in trauma and orthopaedics through the Yorkshire region, before completing prestigious fellowship training in Leeds, Northumbria and at the internationally renowned Wrightington Hospital. In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Jain is an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Leeds and also holds a PG Cert in Clinical Education. His research portfolio includes over 40 scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals, along with contributions to book chapters in orthopaedic textbooks.
