About Mr Roozbeh Shafafy
Mr Roozbeh Shafafy is a renowned consultant spinal surgeon who has completed integrated training in both orthopaedic and neurosurgical aspects of spinal surgery. His advanced subspecialty fellowship began at The Royal London Hospital, including a period as an honorary fellow at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. He further expanded his experience as a travelling fellow, learning from leading spinal surgeons in Canada, Germany, Turkey, and India, before returning to the UK to finalise his training under the guidance of specialists at the internationally acclaimed Spinal Unit of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Mr Shafafy offers expertise across the full spectrum of spinal surgery for both adults and children, with a particular focus on complex spinal deformities in these populations. He is skilled in computer-assisted surgical techniques and maintains a strong interest in integrating emerging technologies into spinal procedures. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Shafafy serves as an honorary teaching fellow and lecturer at University College London. He leads the spinal component of the Orthopaedic Master’s programme and contributes to various national and international educational courses.
