About Mr Richard Scawn

Mr Richard Scawn is a consultant ophthalmologist, specialising in oculoplastic surgery. From his private clinics in London and Buckinghamshire, Mr Scawn provides high-quality treatments for a wide range of conditions of the eyelids, eye and periocular region, including cosmetic eyelid surgery, reconstructive eyelid surgery and watery eyes. Mr Scawn completed extensive ophthalmic and oculoplastic training in London, including four years at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital. He was awarded the Keeler scholarship from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, completed a fellowship in orbital and oculo-facial plastic reconstructive surgery in San Diego, California where he learned advanced techniques in reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid surgery. He completed two further oculoplastic fellowships at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital. Alongside his clinical work, Mr Scawn is also active in oculoplastic research and has written many articles in medical journals. He is also involved in training future generations of ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeons.
