About Dr Richard Morton

Dr Richard Morton is a highly regarded physician, with UK certification in respiratory medicine (pulmonology) and general internal medicine, based in London and practising at Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital. He has extensive experience managing lung conditions such as lung cancer, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), respiratory infections, and unexplained breathlessness and cough. He also carries out advanced diagnostic procedures including bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), ensuring precise and effective patient care. Dr Morton trained at the University of Oxford, where he earned his medical degree in 2010, following an undergraduate degree in Human Sciences from University College London. His specialist respiratory training was completed across leading West London centres including the Royal Brompton, St Mary's and Chelsea & Westminster hospitals. Between 2019 and 2023, he undertook a Clinical Research Training Fellowship at Imperial College London, focusing on molecular microbiology related to lung infections, before returning to full-time NHS practice at St Mary’s Hospital, part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. There, he contributes as a key member of the lung cancer multidisciplinary team.
