About Dr Richard Kahan

Dr Richard Kahan is a highly accomplished and experienced specialist endodontist who completed his dental training at the Royal London Hospital in 1984 and went on to earn a specialist Master’s degree in endodontics in 1993, graduating with distinction. He is the founder and senior partner of the London-based The Harley Street Academy of Advanced Endodontics clinic. Dr Richard Kahan has over 40 years of dentistry experience, and for the last 30 years has been a specialist endodontist working in private specialist practice and teaching postgraduate endodontics. After graduating with distinction in his Masters in Endodontics at the esteemed Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, he became a senior clinical part-time lecturer going on to be Director of Endodontic CPD Courses. In 2003, he established the Eastman Certificate in Endodontics, which received UCL accreditation in 2005. This was followed by the UCL Diploma in Endodontics. He founded the Academy of Advanced Endodontics in 2015, expanding his clinical practice in Harley Street and using groundbreaking materials and techniques to teach general dental practitioners how to improve their endodontic treatment. The Academy continues to innovate and teach the most cutting-edge endodontic techniques, particularly in the fields of scanning diagnostics, AI and laser-assisted endodontics. He has delivered lectures worldwide, contributed research papers to peer-reviewed journals and has been an academic referee for both the prestigious British Dental Journal and the International Endodontic Journal. Dr Kahan has a strong interest in information technology and has developed clinical software for use in teaching and his clinic. GDC: 59690
