Dr Rahul Mukherjee is a highly accomplished consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist based in London and East Sussex, practising at LIPS Healthcare, Battersea Power Station, Sussex Premier Health in Eastbourne, and Cromwell Hospital. He specialises in heart rhythm disorders, with particular expertise in atrial fibrillation, catheter ablation, palpitations, and pacemaker implantation, alongside the assessment of breathlessness, dizziness, palpitations and chest pain. He is known for providing clear, consultant-led care that combines technical precision with a calm, patient-focused approach. Dr Mukherjee completed his training at the leading tertiary centres in London including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, King’s College Hospital and St George’s Hospital. He completed a PhD at King’s College London, developing innovative MRI-guided catheter ablation techniques for complex arrhythmias, and undertook a dedicated fellowship in ventricular tachycardia ablation through the AVATAR programme. He also has specialist expertise in cardiac MRI and holds an Honorary Consultant Cardiologist role at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, allowing him to integrate advanced imaging with rhythm management for more accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Mukherjee is actively involved in research and innovation within cardiology, with an extensive academic track record including over 40 peer-reviewed publications, national research awards, and regular invitations to speak at major international conferences.
