Dr Prema Lall is the Clinic Director of ‘Women’s One World’, a consultant obstetrician & gynaecologist, specialist in Feto-Maternal Medicine & High-Risk Obstetrics. She provides private Consultations, is also a senior consultant in the NHS. She provides e-Consultation for specialist advise online for women who would seek online consultation. Her passion to help her patients makes her available at all times - even on a Sunday afternoon. Dr Prema Lall will offer free telephone consultations on Sunday 13th of April, from 9 am to 11 am (10 minutes consultation). After completing medical school, Dr Lall took up a Research project in Moscow, Russia, and successfully completed a diploma in obstetrics & gynaecology, and a PhD degree in feto-maternal medicine. She then achieved a training position in the Republic of Ireland starting her clinical career as a junior doctor where she worked at the prestigious University College Hospital, Galway, and Coombe Women Hospital, Dublin. During early days of her career Dr Lall, due to her focus and dedication, gained membership from the Royal College of Obstetricians London (MRCOG) and a second membership from Royal College of Physicians Ireland (MRCPI), which resulted in a specialist qualification in the special high-risk area of maternal medicine. She then moved to London for a fellow programme for three years in the speciality of fetal medicine under the expert supervision of Prof Kypros Nicolaides a renowned imminent fetal medicine Specialist (OBE) famous world wide for his work and research in fetal medicine leading this specialist department at the leading Kings College Hospital and Medical School, London. She was registered in the GMC Specialist Registrar with full licence to practice. She completes her appraisals and revalidation process on a yearly-basis, and every five years, to continuously improve her skills and competency in the speciality. She subsequently enrolled on the specialist training rotation to successfully complete her specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and acquire her Certificate of Specialist Training. During that period, she worked in renowned and prestigious hospitals in London, including Mayday University Hospital (now known as Croydon University Hospital), Kingston Hospital, Chelsea & Westminister Hospital and St George’s Hospital and Medical School (post CCT). Her dedication to the field led Dr Lall to complete a diploma in Advanced Obstetrics Ultrasound from Royal College of Obstetrician & Royal College of Radiologists (RCOG/ RCR). She was then trained at the Minimal Access Specialist Centre of New Delhi & World Laparoscopy, a very busy hospital, and obtained Diploma & Fellow in Minimal Access Surgery. Dr Lall proud to be considered as one of the highest-qualified specialists in her field. In September 2019 the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologist awarded her with a Fellowship (FRCOG - Fellow of Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology), which she considers as a life achievement award recognising her dedication and passion. Currently, she works as a consultant obstetrician & gynaecologist, specialist in Feto- Maternal Medicine & High-Risk Obstetrics & MAS. Her passion for her patients and enthusiasm to serve women led her to conceive her dedicated project ‘Womens One World’ conceived with her husband Mr Pankej Desai. It’s a consultant-led, specialist one stop centre where the amalgamation of holistic and medical health care has evolved into a unique hub for mental and physical wellbeing for non-pregnant women, pregnant mothers and their precious babies. Her dream commitment; a soon evolving women’s centre designed to customise every patient’s care, with a team of zeal experts, on Harley Street in Westminster, London.
