About Dr Nitha Naqvi

Dr Nitha Naqvi is a revered and mightily accomplished consultant paediatric cardiologist based in London (principally at the Royal Brompton Hospital, where she is the current lead in paediatric echocardiography). She specialises in echocardiography, aortopathy, as well as marfan syndrome. and offers expertise in diagnosing and treating all kinds of heart conditions in children, such as congenital heart disease, heart murmurs in babies, palpitations, and chest pain in children. Her main areas of research interest lie in conditions such as speckle tracking, and Fitness to Fly in children with congenital heart disease (Hypoxic Challenge Testing). As her medical career went from strength to strength, her work was deservedly recognised, and impressively, she was awarded an Accreditation in Echocardiography in Congenital Heart Disease by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging in 2011. Dr Naqvi is, today, actively involved in post-graduate teaching, attracting both national and international audiences to her regularly run courses in congential echocardiography. She has, to-date, been published in a wide variety of established peer-reviewed medical journals and her work has notably been presented internationally.
