Dr Nathalia Barreto is a dedicated and compassionate cardiologist based in London, currently practising at the Oval Medical Centre. With a special interest in preventive cardiovascular medicine, she provides expert care in areas such as heart check-ups, cardiovascular disease, palpitations, and shortness of breath. Known for her meticulous clinical approach and empathetic manner, Dr Barreto tailors each consultation to the needs of her patients, ensuring comprehensive and personalised cardiac care in a welcoming environment. Dr Barreto obtained her medical degree from the University Centre of Volta Redonda (UNIFOA) in 2013. She completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Barra Mansa, followed by a Residency in Cardiology at the renowned Hospital Pró-Cardíaco in Rio de Janeiro. Furthering her expertise, she achieved a Postgraduate degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Porto, Portugal, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Preventive Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of South Wales. Her professional background spans both inpatient and outpatient care, including work in intensive care units, emergency departments, and private practice, reflecting her well-rounded clinical experience. A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr Barreto is also deeply involved in the advancement of digital health. She serves as a preceptor in digital cardiology and leads a telemedicine cardiology team, integrating technology and innovation into patient care. Beyond her clinical commitments, she volunteers virtually with the British Heart Foundation, contributing to initiatives that promote cardiovascular health and prevention.
