About Mr Mukhtar Bizrah

Mr Mukhtar Bizrah is a leading consultant cornea, refractive, and cataract surgeon based in London. With over 15 years’ experience, his areas of expertise include cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, corneal disease, along with refractive lens exchange, refractive eye surgery, and ICL surgery. Mr Bizrah is the clinical director of Harley Vision. Mr Bizrah earned his MBBS from St George’s University of London and an intercalated BSc from the University College London. He then undertook his ophthalmology residency with the prestigious London Deanery, including two years at the Western Eye Hospital and two years at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He further specialised with fellowships in cornea and laser refractive surgery at the University of British Columbia and in cornea and external eye disease at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Furthermore, Mr Bizrah also holds a Certificate in Laser and Refractive Surgery. As a specialist, Mr Bizrah is one of the few ophthalmic surgeons globally certified in the UK, Canada, and Europe. He holds esteemed fellowship to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the European Board of Ophthalmology. In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Bizrah co-founded and directs the London Eye Course, the largest ophthalmology revision course in Europe and North America. He has authored 50 published research articles and has also received an array of 26 awards and prizes at international, national, and regional levels.
