Mr Martin Woods is a leading consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon who treats both adults and children, in London. His areas of expertise include wisdom teeth, oral surgery and oral medicine, alongside impacted teeth, orthognathic surgery and paediatric maxillofacial surgery. He privately practises at HCA Outpatient 84 Harley Street, Harley Street Maxillofacial Clinic and London International Patient Services (LIPS), while his NHS base is Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and the Evelina London Children's Hospital where he is part of the regional Evelina London Cleft Service. Mr Woods is dually qualified in both medicine and dentistry. He first qualified as a dentist from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2002, before undertaking further medical training at University College London and the Royal Free Medical School, qualifying as a doctor in 2009. His extensive surgical training included roles in oral and maxillofacial surgery, general surgery, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, ENT, and intensive care. He completed higher surgical training in oral and maxillofacial surgery across major trauma and cancer centres in the South Thames region. Following this, Mr Woods pursued additional subspecialist training through fellowships in craniofacial surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and maxillofacial surgery at St George’s Hospital, gaining expertise in the management of complex facial deformities. He has a particular interest in the surgical correction of congenital and acquired facial conditions and in surgically assisted oral rehabilitation. Mr Woods is actively involved in teaching and training the next generation of surgeons. He is an Assignee Educational Supervisor, contributing to the professional development of trainees. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to medical textbooks, furthering advancements in the field of maxillofacial surgery.
