About Dr Maria Raptaki

Dr Maria Raptaki is a dedicated consultant in paediatric allergy based in Leicester, practising at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital. She specialises in the diagnosis and management of child allergies, with particular expertise in food allergies, anaphylaxis, asthma, eczema, and oral immunotherapy. Dr Raptaki provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for children aged six months to 18 years, offering tailored management plans and clear guidance to support both patients and their families. Dr Raptaki graduated in medicine from Democritus University of Thrace in 2006 and went on to complete a Master of Science in Paediatrics and Research at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2011. She joined the UK Specialist Register for Paediatrics in 2018 after undertaking extensive training in tertiary-level university hospitals in Athens, Manchester, Newcastle and Hull. She subsequently completed advanced training in paediatric allergy in Birmingham and was awarded the RCPCH SPIN Allergy certification in 2022. She is an active member of the Midlands Paediatric Allergy Group and the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
