About Dr Maria Martinez Herves

Dr Maria Martinez Herves is a consultant psychiatrist in London who specialises in both child and adolescent psychiatry and she also treats adults. Her areas of expertise include ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, emotional dysregulation, depression, anxiety and psychosis. Dr Martinez-Herves obtained her MD in medicine and surgery at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. In 2012 she completed her specialist training in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at the University Hospital of Ferrol. Following her specialist training, Dr Martinez Herves was one of only five psychiatrists in Spain to be selected by the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation to complete a two-year advanced placement in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Imperial College London. Dr Martinez-Herves has focused her career in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, particularly in acute mental health in teenagers.
