About Mr Lee Parker

Mr Lee Parker is a consultant foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeon at One Welbeck. He specialises in foot and ankle, ankle fractures, ankle sprains, osteoarthritis of the ankle, keyhole surgery and bunion (hallux valgus). He graduated from the University of Southampton in 2002, earning a distinction in medical sciences. His medical career began with research at the University Orthopaedic Department at Southampton General Hospital. He then completed his orthopaedic training in London, including rotations at the Royal Free, Great Ormond Street, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Mr Parker received advanced fellowship training in arthroscopic ankle and hindfoot surgery at the Avon Orthopaedic Unit in Bristol. He also had the opportunity to visit specialised foot and ankle units in Switzerland, Belgium, and Spain through the European Foot and Ankle Society travelling fellowship in 2014. His contributions to the field include being awarded the W.J Little Medal by the Seddon Society for his research on foot and ankle fusion. He has also published in peer-reviewed journals, authored book chapters, and co-edited a section of the EFOST surgical techniques in sports medicine series. Mr Parker is actively involved in education, serving as a faculty member for courses such as the London Basic Sciences for FRCS and Queens Hospital FRCS courses. He regularly provides lectures on foot and ankle surgery to trainees, general practitioners, physiotherapists, and medical students. Additionally, he was part of the medical team that supported the 2015 Rugby World Cup in London. Mr Parker is dedicated to educating patients about their foot and ankle conditions, believing that their understanding is crucial for successful treatment. His areas of expertise include disorders of the foot and ankle.
