About Mr Kavan Johal

Mr Kavan Johal is a leading consultant plastic surgeon based in London. His areas of expertise include breast augmentation, breast reconstruction using microsurgical free flaps (DIEP and TUG) and implants, correction of breast asymmetry, breast reduction, and surgery for gynaecomastia. Currently, Mr Johal consults privately at London Bridge Hospital and at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital. In addition to his breast surgery practice, Mr Johal also offers plastic surgery for body contouring including tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), thigh lift, liposuction, and brachioplasty. He is also highly proficient in blepharoplasty and facelift, as well as surgery for both benign and malignant skin lesions, emphasising complex skin cancer reconstruction. With over 15 years of experience, Mr Johal originally qualified with an BMedSci (Hons) from the University of Nottingham. He undertook higher specialist plastic surgery training in the renowned London Deanery, and holds the esteemed FRCS (Plast) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Mr Johal also earned an MPhil, along with an BMBS (Hons). Notably, he went on to complete four prestigious fellowships: an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Wellington Hospital and three microsurgical fellowships at the Asan Medical Centre in South Korea, China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Furthermore, Mr Johal is passionate about medical education at local and national levels and he holds a higher degree funded by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the Healing Foundation. He has published articles in high-impact scientific journals, including several book chapters, and he is regularly invited to present his research findings at international meetings.
