About Mr Kartik Logishetty

Mr Kartik Logishetty is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist focus on hip surgery at Cleveland Clinic London. He also holds an NHS post at University College London Hospital and serves as an honorary associate professor at University College London and Imperial College London. He completed his medical degree at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, followed by orthopaedic training through the Imperial rotation. After earning a PhD from Imperial College London, he was appointed as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer. He trained in hip resurfacing under Justin Cobb and went on to complete fellowships in complex and revision hip and knee replacement, as well as the full range of hip preservation techniques. These included training at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, University College London, and internationally in the USA, Canada, and Switzerland, prior to his consultant appointment. Mr Logishetty specialises in the comprehensive treatment of hip pain. His approach incorporates non-surgical methods such as targeted physical therapy, medication, and image-guided injections. Surgically, he offers expertise in hip resurfacing, complex primary and revision hip replacements, treatment of periprosthetic fractures, and a wide range of hip preservation procedures. These include hip arthroscopy, periacetabular osteotomy (PAO), proximal femoral osteotomy, and anterior approach hip replacements. He is committed to thoughtful, collaborative decision-making and tailoring treatment plans to individual patients using the latest technology and evidence-based care. This includes 3D customised planning for PAOs and arthroscopies, as well as robotic-assisted and navigated hip replacements. Mr Logishetty’s award-winning research focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in orthopaedics and the development of medical devices. He is widely regarded as a leader in hip surgery, actively involved in training surgeons internationally and serving as a reviewer for multiple orthopaedic journals and the National Institute for Health Research.
