Mrs Kalaivani Lingam is a highly experienced and compassionate consultant gynaecologist based in Derby, practising at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital. She specialises in the management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, prolapse, urinary incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections and menopause. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she offers expert care across a broad range of gynaecological conditions, with a particular focus on minimally invasive treatments and patient-centred care. Mrs Lingam graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1987 and went on to complete her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the West of Scotland. During this time, she undertook three years of additional training in female urology and general surgery, earning a Surgical Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Her broad training has shaped her special interest in urogynaecology and pelvic floor disorders. As lead urogynaecologist at Burton Hospital, she was instrumental in securing national accreditation for the unit, which was only the fifth in the UK to receive this recognition. Dedicated to providing high-quality, individualised care, Mrs Lingam is known for her empathetic and collaborative approach. She performs a wide range of procedures, including laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis, endometrial ablation, pelvic floor repair, and abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies.
