Dr Joseph Wong is a General Practitioner (GP) and Men's health lead in central London, who has specialised in elderly care and men's health. He privately practises at Future Medical Care, while he is a GP at Caterham Valley Medical Practice (NHS) and GP lead for General Virtual Ward for NHS Sussex. He brings over 12 years of NHS experience adopting a a calm, compassionate approach to supporting patients with their healthcare needs. Dr Wong graduated from City St George’s, University of London, with a first-Class Honours BSc in Medical Sciences and Clinical Neuroscience, followed by an MBBS in Medicine and Surgery, awarded with a merit. He completed his GP specialty training in the East Surrey region. Since obtaining his MRCGP in 2019, Dr Wong has held several clinical leadership positions. He was appointed GP Lead for Care Homes and later Frailty within the North Tandridge Primary Care Network (PCN), where he helped implement a multidisciplinary anticipatory care team for older adults and medically complex patients. He then took on the role of GP Lead for the General Virtual Ward covering the Crawley and Horsham regions and providing clinical oversight for housebound and patients at-risk of hospital admission. In 2024, Dr Wong was awarded an Academic Fellowship in Frailty with Surrey Heartlands ICS where he completed a PGCert in Gerontology through the University of Southampton. As lead for men’s health at Future Medical Care, Dr Wong provides discreet, personalised, and evidence-based support for a wide range of male health concerns. His approach is thorough and considered. Patients are offered time to explore and understand their health concerns in a confidential setting. Dr Wong provides clear, honest medical advice grounded in current best evidence, and works collaboratively with each patient to develop realistic, tailored health plans.
