About Mr Jason Millington
Mr Jason Millington is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Newport, Isle of Wight, who specialises in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty. The conditions he expertly treats include partial knee replacement, total hip replacement and total knee replacement, alongside revision hip replacement, knee arthroscopy, hip injections and knee injections.He privately practises at St Mary’s Hospital, while his NHS base is Isle of Wight NHS Trust. These qualifications underpin his expertise in modern orthopaedic techniques and joint replacement surgery. He undertook specialist fellowship training in hip revision surgery at University Hospital Southampton, working alongside Jeremy Latham and Professor Dunlop. Prior to this, he spent two years at the prestigious London Hip Unit under the mentorship of Sarah Muirhead-Allwood, before commencing his higher orthopaedic training. Mr Millington began his consultant career at the world-renowned Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC) in London, where he worked for four years. He has since pioneered the ambulatory joint arthroplasty pathway at St Mary’s Hospital and regularly performs day-case partial and total knee and hip replacement procedures. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Millington is actively involved in education and training. He serves as education lead within the trauma and orthopaedic department and contributes to the SpR training programme in the Wessex regionst. He's also an approved educational supervisor and takes part in the Annual Review of Competence Progression within the Wessex deanery, supporting the development of future orthopaedic surgeons.
