About Mr Jaskarn Rai
Mr Jaskarn Rai is an experienced consultant urological surgeon who manages all general urological conditions and has a specialist interest in female and male urinary incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, and bladder problems. He has a particular focus on urethral fistula and diverticula repair, as well as mesh removal in urethra-vaginal mesh in females. He is highly experienced in the management of benign prostate enlargement and offers treatments including TURP and REZUM. He is an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Leicester Medical School and serves as the trainee programme director for East Midlands Urology. He is also a member of the Surgical Advisory Committee for Urology. Mr Rai qualified from Leicester Medical School in 2003 as part of the first cohort of the graduate-entry programme, having previously studied Pharmacy at King’s College London. He completed his medical training within the East Midlands. Mr Rai was awarded his Doctor of Medicine in Prostate Cancer by the University of Nottingham in 2013. In 2015 he completed a Fellowship in Reconstructive Urethral Surgery at the internationally renowned Kulkarni Institute in Pune, India, following a Female Urology fellowship in Leicester.
