About Mr Imran Zaheer

Mr Imran Zaheer is an experienced ophthalmologist based in Swindon. He specialises in treating cataracts and glaucoma, including performing procedures such as laser glaucoma surgery and refractive lens exchange. He currently practises at BMI The Ridgeway Hospital and Shalbourne Private Healthcare. Mr Zaheer qualified from King Edward Medical University, Lahore (part of the University of Punjab). He completed basic training at Mayo University Hospital before specialising in ophthalmology, training at the Institute of Ophthalmology. He went on to undertake fellowships in glaucoma, retinal diseases and oculoplastics (eyelid and orbit), including a glaucoma fellowship at Bristol Eye Hospital, where he trained extensively in advanced surgical procedures like trabeculectomy and selective laser trabeculoplasty. Mr Zaheer's research work has been published in peer-reviewed journals around the world and he has presented his work internationally. He serves as a clinical tutor for The Royal College of Ophthalmologists as well as an educational supervisor for Severn Deanery.
