About Mr Hamid Tehrani

Mr Tehrani is a consultant Plastic, reconstructive and Mohs surgeon in St Helens, Cheshire and Merseyside. He specialises in Mohs surgery, skin cancer and basal cell carcinoma treatment, as well as the removal and treatment of moles, cysts and lipomas. He privately practises at Fairfield Independent Hospital, Circle Cheshire Clinic, Whiston Hospital and St Helens Hospital, while his NHS base is Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He is the founder of the Mersey Supraregional Centre for Mohs Surgery. Mr Tehrani was the first Plastic surgeon in the UK to train in Mohs micrographic surgery. This allows him to offer precise skin cancer removal followed by expert Plastic and reconstructive techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes. He regularly receives referrals for complex skin cancer cases from across the UK and internationally, and has perfomed over 10,000 procedures. He is President of the British Society for Mohs Surgery and serves as the UK lead for national Mohs service development and surgical guidelines. He also plays a key role in education, setting up the UK training programme for Mohs surgery and being a trainer for the Royal College of Surgeons. He is the founder of Surgeryskills, a global surgical training initiative. Mr Tehrani has published widely and continues to lead research in skin cancer diagnosis and imaging. He is committed to offering tailored, patient-centred care in a calm and supportive environment, ensuring every patient is offered the most appropriate treatment for their condition. He's a member of several professional organisations, including the British Society for Mohs Surgery (BSMS), the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the Confederation of British Surgery (CBS) and the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS).
