Dr Faraz Imran is an experienced consultant dermatologist with over a decade of specialist experience in dermatology across multiple leading NHS Trusts in the UK. He is currently practising in the private sector, offering expert care at community dermatology clinics in Hull and Grimsby. Dr Imran provides high-quality, patient-centred care for a wide range of skin conditions, with particular expertise in general dermatology, paediatric dermatology, skin cancer, phototherapy, patch testing, and dermatological surgery. Dr Imran graduated in medicine from J.N. Medical College, India, before relocating to the UK, where he completed further training in internal medicine and dermatology. He achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and later specialised in dermatology, earning his CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) in 2023. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), and a member of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) and the British Hair and Nail Society (BHNS). Over the course of his career, Dr Imran has worked at several leading NHS hospitals, including Hull University Teaching Hospitals, Salford Royal, Oxford’s Churchill Hospital, and Brighton General. His longest and most recent NHS post was at Hull, where he served as a Locum Consultant Dermatologist from 2016 until 2024. During this time, he was involved in a wide range of clinical services and held leadership roles, including chairing departmental clinical governance meetings and acting as a DATIX reviewer for dermatology. Dr Imran is actively engaged in research and clinical trials. He has served as a sub-investigator in national and international studies on biologic therapies for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis and has co-authored multiple publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles and educational content for e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH). He is also a regular contributor to the British Hair and Nail Society’s journal club and is a reviewer for the British Association of Dermatologists' CESR applications.
