About Dr Elliot Tash

Dr Elliot Tash is a renowned consultant gastroenterologist who graduated from King’s College London in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology and went on to qualify in Medicine from Leicester University Medical School in 2003. He completed his postgraduate specialist training within the East of England (Cambridge) deanery rotation and holds dual accreditation in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine. He achieved MRCP (Gastroenterology) in 2011 and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine in March 2015. In 2019, he was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). Dr Tash has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal (GI) conditions, including complex Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Barrett’s oesophagus, upper and lower GI cancers, pancreaticobiliary disorders, functional GI conditions including constipation and diarrhoea, and gastrointestinal dysmotility. He has a particular subspecialist interest in endoscopy and completed a Fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. During this time, he further refined his expertise in advanced therapeutic techniques, including the resection of large benign polyps, ERCP, and balloon enteroscopy. Dr Tash has carried out more than 8,000 endoscopic procedures. He maintains an unadjusted colonoscopy completion rate of 95% and a polyp detection rate of 66%, alongside low sedation use and excellent patient comfort scores — including in complex and technically challenging cases, many of which were referred by fellow consultant colleagues.
