About Dr Elisaveta Sokolov
Dr Elisaveta Sokolov is a distinguished consultant clinical neurophysiologist and epileptologist, currently practising at Cleveland Clinic Hospital, London and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. She specialises in advanced electroencephalography (EEG), including video telemetry, intensive care brain monitoring, routine and sleep studies, and the diagnosis and management of epilepsy. Dr Sokolov is the clinical lead for the EEG service at both Cleveland Clinic Hospital, London and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Sokolov completed her medical degree at Imperial College London and has since developed a highly respected career in neurophysiology. She pursued further training through a specialist registrar programme at King’s College Hospital, London, followed by an epilepsy research fellowship at Harvard / Massachusetts General Hospital. Additionally, she completed a post-CCT Clinical Fellowship in Complex Epilepsy at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London. Dr Sokolov holds a master’s with distinction in neuroscience from King’s College London and Columbia University. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Sokolov is an active collaborator within the Harvard University Global Neurology Research Group and has a strong commitment to both academic and clinical neurophysiology. She is the principal investigator and grant holder for cutting edge research investigating epilepsy related to brain tumours, utilising diagnostic brain services. She is a member of several prestigious professional associations, including the Royal College of Physicians, the British Society of Clinical Neurophysiology, and the International League Against Epilepsy.
