About Mr Deepak Komath

Mr Deepak Komath is dually qualified in medicine and dentistry and specialises in all medical and surgical conditions affecting the face and neck. He developed his expertise at some of London’s most prestigious teaching centres and currently serves as clinical lead for oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. He currently practises at the Chase Lodge Hospital. After graduating from the University of Southampton, Mr Komath completed his training in oral and maxillofacial surgery through the London Deanery rotation. He joined the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust as a consultant in maxillofacial surgery in 2016 and became clinical lead for facial deformity surgery the following year. Working with both adults and children, Mr Komath’s specialist interests include facial surgery, face lifts and eyelid rejuvenation, correction of facial deformities, head and neck reconstruction following cancer or trauma, skin cancer surgery, oral surgery, TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders, tooth extraction and dental implants, and salivary duct disorders. As a member of the Royal Free Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, Mr Komath believes that collaboration is central to effective patient care. In his private practice, he often arranges joint consultations with other specialists for patients with complex needs, allowing a comprehensive treatment plan to be developed from the outset. A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, among other professional bodies, Mr Komath is also a published author in his field. He lectures and examines at University College London, where he takes great pride in mentoring the next generation of surgeons.
