About Mr Dan Shaerf

Mr Dan Shaerf is a highly skilled and experienced consultant orthopaedic hand and wrist surgeon with a specialist focus on hand and wrist surgery. He graduated with Merit from the prestigious Royal Free & University College London Medical School in 2005 and completed a BSc in Orthopaedic Science at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Institute of Orthopaedics. Currently practices at Chase Lodge Hospital. During his core surgical training, he ranked in the top 10% of all trainees across London for four consecutive years, achieving the highest possible mark in 2009. Following completion of his specialist training on the competitive North West London (Imperial) Rotation, he pursued three additional, highly regarded Hand & Wrist fellowships at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals, further refining his exceptional expertise. Mr Shaerf is a recognised expert in the treatment of hand and wrist disorders and injuries. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented at international conferences on various topics related to hand and wrist surgery, as well as general orthopaedics. He established a successful hand surgery service at Ealing Hospital in West London and has a particular interest in treating thumb and wrist arthritis, incorporating advanced joint replacement techniques. An experienced and well-qualified surgeon, Mr Shaerf regularly attends specialist conferences and training courses to remain at the forefront of surgical innovation. He is a member of leading professional societies, including the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society, and the British Orthopaedic Association. As a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, he is held in high regard within the surgical community.
